What makes Special Occasion Separates so special, and yet so practical?
Separates -
- By purchasing a top and a skirt, you do not have to rely on wearing a dress that only can be worn again if it is perfect for an occasion, even if you would consider wearing it again.
S.O.S. tops can be worn with jeans, under a jacket or to a black tie paired with the same or a different skirt.
S.O.S. skirts can be worn with a tank top or freshly reintroduced with a different top at your holiday cocktail party.
What fabrics does Special Occasion Separates use?
S.O.S. only uses high-quality imported silk and high-end specialty fabrics in our line of tops & skirts.
S.O.S. fabrics are chosen so that they can mostly be worn year-round, whether it be on a beach destination or during the winter holidays.
What effect does Special Occasion Separates have on today's wedding trends?
S.O.S. garments are stylish, timeless and versatile.
Stylish -- S.O.S. takes inspiration from fashions that you can find on the top fashion runways and fashion magazines.
Timeless -- S.O.S is committed to creating designs that aren't trendy so that they will become staples in your wardrobe.

Many of the S.O.S. styles fit a wide range of sizes (like our Wrap Skirt and Bias A-Line Skirt). So, your skirt that fits you today, will also fit you when you are expecting or have put on a few extra and unwanted pounds.
What options does Special Occasion Separates offer?
Attendants are able to add their own special touch and order styles that best fit their body type, whether it be the style chosen or the options selected. The more comfortable your attendants are with the style chosen, the more likely they are to wear their separates again.
Does S.O.S. do bridal gowns?
Any of the S.O.S. styles can be ordered in an array of white, cream or ivory silk fabrics for bridal gowns. Contact S.O.S. Corporate Offices for additional information on fabrics currently available.

Does S.O.S. offer Flower Girl (FG) dresses?

Can I get accessories for the wedding party that coordinate with our attendant dresses?
Yes. S.O.S. offers an array of accessory items that are perfect gift items for your wedding party. Shoulder wraps or purses for the ladies in your wedding party, or how about a tie or cummerbund for your groomsmen? S.O.S. can even do a matching tie for the Young Men in your Wedding Party.
How does the overall budget compare for separates vs. one-piece dresses?
Let's say that you chose a strapless, a-line cocktail dress for your attendant's dress in your wedding that has a base price of $260. Once you add the sash that you like, the price is now $30 more at $290. Let's say your Maid-of-Honor (MOH) needs a Size 8 -- dresses require ALL 4 STANDARD bust, waist, hip and height measurements. Your MOH ends up spending $45 to alter the hem on the dress and $35 to alter the bust so that the strapless portion of the dress fits properly. Before taxes & shipping, the total is $370, more than $100 above the sticker price that you originally looked at on the dress.
- Compare that to buying a skirt and a top that look like the dress you selected above. The strapless top is $148 plus $20 for the sash and your MOH only needs a Size 4 in the top. The A-line cocktail length skirt is $174. Your MOH gets a Size Small (which fits a 2-8) and needs no alterations. Thus, even though the base price of the skirt and top are slightly above the base price of the strapless dress, your MOH ends up spending less overall, at $342.

Wedding Date (WD)
Make sure that you and bridesmaids have this date marked on your calendar.
Requested Delivery Date (RDD)
This is the date that you would like your attendants to have their dresses in hand. S.O.S. recommends that your attendants receive their dresses no less than 4 weeks prior to the Wedding Date (WD). These 4 weeks enable each attendant to receive their dresses, get any necessary alterations and make sure that everything is perfect for your special day with no last minute stresses.
Order Deadline (OD)
S.O.S sets the Order Deadline (OD) 12 weeks prior to the brides Requested Delivery Date (RDD).
When should I decide on the attendant dresses for my wedding?
S.O.S. recommends that you research attendant dresses six or more months prior to your Wedding Date. S.O.S. recommends that you have decided on your attendant dresses at least five months before your wedding date.
When should my bridesmaids place their orders for Special Occasion Separates?
S.O.S. allows brides to determine how far in advance they would like their attendants to receive their dresses prior to the Wedding Date (WD) the Requested Delivery Date (RDD). Based on your RDD, S.O.S requires that all attendants submit their orders for dresses by the Order Deadline (OD) which is 12 weeks before to the Requested Delivery Date (RDD) in order to avoid RUSH charges.
What is the latest date that an order can be placed for my attendant's dresses?
Dress orders can be submitted as close as 4 weeks before the Wedding Date (WD). The closer that an order is submitted to a wedding, the more likely there is a RUSH charge assessed.
Why does S.O.S. suggest 12 weeks between the Requested Delivery Date (RDD) and the Order Deadline (OD)?
All S.O.S. garments are made-to-order and are unique to the individual wedding. 12 weeks is needed to order your fabrics from our international suppliers, cut fabrics with your unique combinations of colors, styles and options, and produce each garment with special care and attention.
