Special Occasion Separates offers a wide array of colors of silks and specialty fabrics.

Silk is a classic, timeless & versatile fabric that is absolutely appropriate for any occasion, time of the day or season.

Many S.O.S. fabrics are 100% natural silk and these silks often have slight variations and irregularities which are characteristic of fine silk yarns. These characteristics enhance the natural beauty of the fabrics and should in no way be treated as defects.

Fabric Choices

• GROUP I - Solids



• Shantung Silks (available in 20 colors)
  Woven in India, these medium-to-heavy silk fabrics have a natural, matte-finish with a smoother finish than the Duppione Silks. Our Silk Shantungs are spun with the finest silk yarns and have a dressy & elegant feel. Dry Clean Only recommended.
• Duppione Silks (available in 40 colors)
  Woven in India, these medium-to-heavy silk fabrics have a lustrous finish with a slubbed, textured finish. Many of our Silk Duppiones are spun combining the effects of more than one color and reflect these multiple colors under different lighting conditions. Dry Clean Only recommended.
• Faille Taffeta Polyesters (available in 20 colors)
  Woven in Belgium, these top-of-the-line heavy woven taffetas have a crosswise ribbed weave that has a sculptural effect for tying bows and sashes. Dry Clean Only recommended.



• GROUP II - Specialty



• Embroidered Silks (current Specialty Fabric Offerings)
  
  Woven in India, these luxurious taffeta silks are woven with an exquisite embroidery pattern which fully covers the surface of the fabric. Use our specialty silks for an entire ensemble or create a special accent for your Special Occasion Separates’ ensemble. Dry Clean Only recommended.
